This is an excellent summation of Biden and danger of the left. In particular, your observation that climate change policy indirectly leading to greater prospect of world war. Putin should be charged with war crimes. Kerry and Biden need to leave the stage. Throw in Nancy and Kamala, a slew of losers.
Thanks Chris. Many people do not realize that the Climate Change Agenda increases the chances of nuclear war because countries start to fight over fossil fuels because renewables are too inefficient and expensive for people to maintain their lifestyle.
Among the litany of Biden disasters you list, you didn't mention that more people in the U.S. died from COVID on his watch than under Trump. Also, to demonstrate what a miscalculation Putin made, ask, "what is his endgame?" - A military victory, overthrow the Zelensky government, and install a puppet government, or outright annex Ukraine. But guess what, even in his dream outcome, the sanctions against Russia will remain indefinitely until the Russian economy is ground into dust. Or until there is a coup by the Russian military that overthrows him, withdraws from Ukraine, and reparations are made.
As the war has moved past the 100 day mark, there are two big beneficiaries of the fighting. The first are foreign policy and defense hawks, in both parties, who are seeing their wildest dreams come true - Russian military power being destroyed at no risk to the West. In a very candid remark, Sec. of Defense Austin said that he wants, “to see Russia weakened to the degree it can not do the kind of things that it has done in invading Ukraine.” The Russian military is weaker now than at any point since the fall of the Soviet Union. What about the risk of nuclear war, you might ask. There is zero risk of that, since even if Putin tries to push the nuclear button, not even his most boot-licking toady would carry out that order. The second group benefiting from the war are the arms manufacturers, who are seeing real-life demonstrations of the efficacy of the weapons they produce. This especially benefits drone companies, as drones were previously used just for reconnaissance or the occasional assassination of terrorists, not for use in conventional warfare.
Dave. May write an update on this column. The Ukraines are still getting slaughtered and pundits as diverse as Kissinger and Noam Chomsky (who actually praised Trump's approach) are saying a diplomatic solution should be reached or at least attempted.
Dave. Good points. COVID deaths are still quite high but the government is repealing many of the mask mandates and other requirements because people are tired of it. We were just in South Carolina and people are just enjoying their lives.
Hope your are right about the sanctions. But Europe is so dependent on Russia for energy that I am afraid it will be business as usual in a year or two. Here is an interesting article on this dependency but I suspect it does not tell you anything you do not already know.

Interesting story about oil and gas sanctions in the Wall St. Journal here https://www.wsj.com/articles/russia-scrambles-to-maintain-oil-sales-life-blood-of-economy-11646156655?mod=Searchresults_pos4&page=1 Though the West isn't sanctioning Russian energy, there's a de facto sanction by oil importers who aren't buying Russian oil for a host of reasons (shipping risk, insurance, financing) as the article explains.
