Nationally:

1. Biden will run and win the primary (but will ultimately lose in 2024) only to save K.Harris the embarrassment of running and receiving a fierce smack down.

2. The economy will coast into a recession.

3. More and more people will refuse to work and will find a federal welfare program (disability) to hang their hat on.

4. Illegal migration will continue without abatement and will serve to be one of the coffin nails in Biden's bid for re-election in 2024.

5. The war in the Ukraine will escalate dragging in other non-European countries. There will be an extreme reaction (nuclear) from Russia

Connecticut state

5. After gaining population due to the influx of New Yorkers during Covid, Connecticut will resume losing population in 2023 because neither the Democrats controlling the legislature nor Gov. Lamont see population rentention as a problem, nor do they have any clue of how to turn the tides.

6. CT will have little to no business growth, ie. few new businesses, no additional hiring at current companies, etc.

7. Pension debts will continue to be exacerbated because Lamont and Democrats have no solutions.

8. CT GOP will continue suffer a lack of leadership, remain ineffective in making inroads into state governance.

9. Crime will increase in CT inner cities...

10. Overdoses in CT will rise.

Thanks for reading it. You are a little more pessimistic than I am but you are correct about the People's Republic of Connecticut.

I don't think I am pessimistic as much as realistic. I am on a town Republican Committee and have attended state political functions. The inertia is immense everywhere, in both parties. No big thinkers. It's go along to get along. Usually, the solution is to 'just throw money at whatever'. I wish I could be more optimistic but people are too 'fat & happy' in general to make change - both parties are more than willing to keep printing money without asking citizens to any sacrifices. This is not going to end well - it reminds me of 'boiling the frog'. Plus, there is a gross lack of leadership. I ponder this quite a bit and wonder what can be done, but have come up with nothing. I think there has to be a core group of people who are impassioned and can have access to power to make change in the state and I just don't see it so far. The Democrats have all the power and they seemingly are happy with the inertia. Lamont clearly has no vision or courage for that matter. He's rich and just riding the Blue Wave in the state.
